Toddler Swim Lesson Grants
The Southern Nevada Chapter of the International Code Council established this program in 2009 to provide the local parks and recreation departments of each city and county government in Southern Nevada with $2,500 grants to offer free swimming lessons for toddlers 4 years of age and younger.
Drowning accidents are one of the leading causes of death and accidents of children under the age of 5, according to the National Safety Council.
SN-ICC members are committed to reducing child drowning deaths and recognize that teaching toddlers to swim is one of the best ways to reduce such deaths.
