More than 100 members and special guests, including ICC President Michael Wich of Louisiana, attended the gala 2023 Installation and Awards Banquet on January 21 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino Conference Center.
SN-ICC installed the members of the 2023 Board of Directors and presented numerous awards to members for their outstanding service to the Chapter and the code profession.

2022 President Michael Cunningham of the City of Las Vegas presented the “Government Member of the Year” award to Linda Gallant of the City of North Las Vegas’
“The Bill Laub Industry Associate Member of the Year” award went to Jeff Grove of Coffman Engineers.
Michael Cunningham presented “President’s Special Award” plaques to Benita Crook of the City of Las Vegas and Andrew Kelly of Clark County for their outstanding service and accomplishments. Andrew Kelly is chairperson of the Membership Committee.
ICC President Michael Wich conducted the swearing-in ceremony and presented board members with gifts from ICC.
A special highlight of the event includes the outstanding raffle prizes, including big-screen TVs, power tools, appliances and electronics.
A special salute to the team in the Orlean’s Catering Department for their outstanding service and contributions to the success of the banquet.

Chapter President Michael Cunningham presented the 2022 Year End Report at the Membership Luncheon Meeting and Annual Business Meeting in December at Sierra Gold. The International Code Council gave two of its highest honors to SN-ICC members at the Annual Conference in September in Louisville, Kentucky. The ICC named Past President Sam Palmer “Code Official of the Year” and Past President Alan Ellis, the director of the EduCode Conference and Expo, “Educator of the Year.”
The Chapter has named member John Blomquest of the City of Henderson as the new Executive Director, effective February 1, to manage and administer the Chapter’s programs and events. He replaces Monica Caruso, who is retiring after five years as executive director. She plans to continue as a member of the Chapter.
