What’s New

What happens when you combine 150 SN-ICC members and guests, a 6-3 VGK win, a hat trick from Tomas Hertl and a Zamboni ride?

A Membership Night to remember!

We had a blast celebrating with our SN-ICC community at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights brought the action on the ice, and our members brought the energy in the stands.

Even between periods, the fun didn’t stop—one lucky SN-ICC member got to take a spin on the Zamboni during intermission, riding in style while the crowd cheered them on.

We couldn’t ask for a better group to share the night with—thank you for all you do to make SN-ICC what it is.

EduCode 2025 was an incredible experience, made possible by the dedication of our attendees, instructors, sponsors, exhibitors, and volunteers!

This year, we welcomed 1,100+ in-person attendees and 1,500+ online participants, making our 28th EduCode Conference & Expo one of our best yet.

A special thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors for their invaluable support and to our EduCode volunteers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. We also appreciate the Orleans Hotel & Casino team for their outstanding service throughout the event.

Mark your calendars! The next EduCode Conference is set for February 23–27, 2026, at The Orleans Hotel & Casino Conference Center in Las Vegas. Registration opens in Fall 2025, so stay tuned for updates in your inbox, social media platforms and on the EduCode website.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Chapter’s 2025 Installation and Awards Banquet, held on January 25 at Chinitas Tapas & Sushi in Henderson, NV.

We were honored to welcome ICC President David Spencer, who administered the Oath of Office to our incoming 2025 Board of Directors. We were also pleased to have ICC Director-at-Large Sam Palmer in attendance, who graciously lent a hand in the ceremony as well.

It was a fantastic evening filled with connection, celebration, and recognition of members whose outstanding contributions continue to strengthen both our Chapter and the industry.

For those who couldn’t attend, we missed you—and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming events!

Chapter President Linda Gallant presented the 2024 Year-End Report during the Membership Luncheon and Annual Business Meeting held in December at Sierra Gold.

The PowerPoint presentation highlighted the Chapter’s many activities and accomplishments over the past year, showcasing the impact of our collective efforts.

We extend our sincere thanks to Linda for her leadership throughout 2024, as well as her time and dedication in preparing and delivering this year-in-review.

It is with immense pride and excitement that we extend our congratulations to Sam Palmer for his recent election to the International Code Council (ICC) Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large!

Sam secured his position in a runoff vote, winning by a margin of 73%-27% against Shirley Ellis, whowas nominated from the floor. After this decisive victory, Sam received 100% of the vote from the voting members– a clear testament to his leadership, dedication, and the trust he has earned within our professional community.

The vote took place this morning (10/21) during the ICC’s Annual Business Meeting in Long Beach, California. Sam’s passion for advancing building safety and his unwavering commitment to our industry clearly resonated with the voters. His victory not only reflects his personal achievements but also highlights the remarkable work and leadership emerging from our Chapter.

We look forward to supporting Sam as he takes on this influential role as Director-at-Large!
