The Chapter was well represented at the ICC Annual Business Meeting in October in Richmond, Virginia. The Chapter hosted a special networking mixer at the end of the conference to promote the next ICC ABM set for October 2019 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.
More than 100 Chapter members and their guests enjoyed the first “SN-ICC Night” at the Vegas Golden Knights’ game on November 3. Go Knights!
The Chapter was pleased to participate in the recent “Construction Career Day,” a joint effort by UNLV’s College of Engineering and the NV Contractors Association. The chapter had a booth where local high school and college students, parents and educators could learn about careers in the code profession. We thank our members who generously volunteered their time and talents that day to staff the booth – our President Sam Palmer of Clark County, 1st Vice President Terry Kozlowski of the City of North Las Vegas, 2nd Vice President Jim Gerren of Clark County, Public Outreach Committee Chairman David Goldstein of GeoTek, Board Member Michael Gentille of PCNA Group, David Cross of the City of Henderson and Duane Resop of the Clark County School District.
Family, friends and colleagues of Al Ellis turned out for a surprise party to honor Al on the occasion of his retirement from the City of Henderson Department of Building & Fire Safety. Al is now the executive director of the Chapter’s EduCode International conference and expo. Good luck, Al!
SN-ICC was pleased to participate in the special retirement party on August 3 for Henderson Building Official Mo Jadid. Congratulations and best wished, Mo!
